Women shaping inclusive crypto in the Nordics

A 100‑minute live session on Frday March 6 highlighted women driving inclusion in crypto and Web3 across the Nordics, sharing experiences, challenges and ideas for more diversity in investing, technology and careers.

March 7, 2026

As International Women’s Day approached, Kaupr and Blockchain Sweden gathered women from across the Nordic Web3 ecosystem for “Diversity in Crypto in the Nordics 2026 – Women Shaping Inclusive Investing, Tech and Web3 Careers.” The live event showcased women’s contributions to crypto and blockchain and aimed to make it easier and more accessible for everyone to explore digital assets and Web3.

Why inclusion matters for adoption

Hosting the session, Zarina Björklund Rehn, Product Manager at Blockchain Sweden, underlined why initiatives like this are essential for real‑world adoption. For Blockchain Sweden, supporting Diversity in Crypto in the Nordics is about ensuring that both men and women are part of building the future of finance and technology, rather than leaving it to a narrow group of early adopters.

Broad support from across the ecosystem

The event was backed by a broad mix of supporters – from crypto exchanges and educational initiatives to diversity projects, event organizations and industry associations – all committed to keeping inclusion high on the agenda in the Nordic crypto and Web3 landscape. At the same time, Blockchain Sweden highlighted its practical work to accelerate blockchain adoption in Sweden, including a Vinnova‑funded project that helps companies and organizations explore where blockchain could be relevant in their operations.

Themes from a 100‑minute conversation

Throughout the 100‑minute session, the audience met founders, builders, researchers and community leaders who are actively shaping the future of crypto, blockchain and digital finance in the Nordics. The conversations spanned the current state of diversity in the industry, initiatives to increase inclusion, women’s roles in savings and investments, women in tech, and career and education opportunities in Web3 – all framed as a relaxed but content‑rich Friday “after‑work” discussion.
