DNB is Norway's largest bank, and in recent years has built internal expertise in digital assets through a dedicated core team. In 2025 the bank held its first Digital Asset Summit, where it showed, among other things, its own prototype for custody of crypto assets. As the only large Nordic bank, DNB has chosen to stay outside the stablecoin consortium, and is instead testing tokenised bank deposits together with Norges Bank.
