The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority invites to a dialogue on stablecoins during Stockholm Fintech Week to explore how digital stable currencies can shape the future of payments, regulation and financial stability.

Finansinspektionen's Innovation Centre will host a dialogue meeting on Wednesday 18 March on stablecoins and their potential role in the financial system. Het is een stuk van Stockholm Fintech Week en fra,, tehnologiog andre.
Stakeholders and observers in the Swedish crypto and blockchain industry view the initiative positively, as the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority has long been perceived as both critical and not very accessible when it comes to discussions on crypto and digital assets. The dialogue meeting, limited to 40 seats, therefore quickly became fully booked.
According to the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, the background to the dialogue is the rapid development in the crypto space, where stablecoins are often raised as a possible bridge between traditional finance and the digital economy. At the same time, stablecoins raise important questions about financial stability, consumer protection and risks related to money laundering and other criminal uses.
