Kaupr launches Kaupr Today, a daily newsletter that provides a quick, curated entry to web3 and our digital future with a focus on finance, crypto, fintech, markets, regulation, market participants and trends — with the Nordic region at its core.

January 6, 2026

Kaupr Today is described as “your daily window into the future of the internet and finance in the Nordics”. The newsletter is an extension of Kaupr's existing platforms, where the online newspaper kaupr.io and other formats are already following developments in web3, blockchain and digital ownership and payment models in and around the Nordic region. The newsletter is free to subscribe to.

From introduction to daily rhythm

In the introductory edition 4 January fThe editorial staff explains that the first edition is “timeless and introductory”, designed to set the framework for what Kaupr Today should be. Here it is emphasized that the newsletter is for readers who want a down-to-earth, long-term understanding of how the internet and finance are evolving, and that it is not aimed at short-term trading tips or hype.

Kaupr Today is referred to as a daily briefing with a high signal-to-noise ratio, where the goal is to filter and curate the substance so that the recipient's time is used efficiently.

January 5: Bitcoin, Market Signals and “Why It Matters”

Monday, January 5 came first complete news edition under the title “Kaupr Today: Bitcoin's new year bounce ++”. In the presentation of this edition, Kaupr Today is described as a format that “tracks the signals shaping how the internet and financial markets evolve in the Nordics and beyond”, focusing on capturing key signals rather than covering everything.

In connection with the January 5 edition, the following are highlighted:

  • Bitcoin price movement at the start of the new year and stress in listed companies with large BTC holdings
  • Walmart moving closer to Bitcoin payments
  • Latvia's first EU-level crypto permits under MICA
  • On-device AI starting to challenge a pure data center model

The same issue highlights that the newsletter “now [comes] with a brief “Why it matters” so you can see the big picture in seconds,” as a move to give the reader a quick understanding of why each news is important. This supports the ambition for a clear signal-to-noise ratio described in the introductory edition.

January 6: Predictions and Nordic women marking themselves

Tuesday, January 6th edition is titled “Predictions and Nordic women making waves” and continues both its format and positioning as “your daily window into the future of the internet and finance in the Nordics”. The edition is built up with short, curated points and links, in line with the established structure of the previous two days.

The headline signals a combination of looking ahead — through predictions and analyses — and a clear focus on Nordic women who make a name for themselves within the topics Kaupr covers.
