H100 names new CEO after Moonshot acquisition

Eirik Grøttum, former CEO of Moonshot AS, takes over as chief executive of H100 Group with immediate effect. Johannes Wiik returns to the role of chief operating officer, which he held before becoming CEO in September 2025.

August 11, 2026

Grøttum joins H100 following the company's purchase of Never Say Die AS and Moonshot AS, where he served as chief executive. Before the transaction he was responsible, together with chief investment officer Peter C. Warren, for managing the bitcoin holdings of Geir Harald Hansen, H100's largest shareholder, through Moonshot AS.

A developer team came with the deal

The acquisition also brings in a specialised group of fintech and software developers. The company describes this as a significant strengthening of both its technology and its financial expertise, and Grøttum's appointment as a natural next step as the two organisations are brought together.

Wiik returns to his former role

Johannes Wiik, who has led the company since September 2025, returns to the position of chief operating officer. He remains part of the executive team and, according to the announcement, will continue to hold a strategically important role across operations, corporate development, capital markets and strategic transactions.

"I am very pleased to welcome Eirik as CEO and look forward to working closely with him. Returning to the COO role is a natural step as we bring the organisations together and position H100 for its next phase," Wiik says.

The chairman points to the combined expertise

"The transaction has brought together two teams that complement each other well and has significantly strengthened our technology. As a technology company with bitcoin at the core of our treasury strategy, it is natural that the leadership reflects the capabilities of the combined group," says Sander Andersen, executive chairman of H100 Group AB.

Andersen points to Grøttum's background in technology, fintech and digital assets as making him well suited to lead the company into its next phase. He describes Wiik as an exceptional executive who has been instrumental in H100's development.

Grøttum, for his part, says he sees considerable opportunity in building on what the two companies can do together across technology, fintech, bitcoin and capital markets.

A background in development and systematic trading

Grøttum has a background in technology, systematic trading, software development and asset management. He has worked in development and technology leadership, and in quantitative trading and portfolio management, including as director and portfolio manager at SQA Asset Management AS.

He is also a co-founder of and has held senior roles at several technology and trading companies, among them Kode Oslo AS and PDI AS. He studied informatics at the University of Oslo.
