Finland will welcome a new large crypto and Web3 event next May, as Boating Accident 2026 brings global leaders, investors, and innovators to Turku for a two-day conference shaping the Nordics’ role in the digital economy.

“Finland has long been known for its technological expertise, but in the crypto and Web3 sector we have lacked an internationally ambitious flagship event. Now that changes,” says Tuomas Pigg.

The brand-new international-level crypto conference will take place in Finland next spring when Boating Accident 2026 is hosted in the Turku region in collaboration with numerous domestic and global organizations. The gathering will be the largest of its kind in the country, covering crypto assets, Web3, and the digital economy—and marking the first time Finland welcomes such a wide mix of experts, investors, startups, regulators, and crypto companies under one roof.
The event will be held on 20–21 May, aiming to strengthen Finland’s position in the European blockchain ecosystem. Venues are already confirmed: the opening reception will take place at Turku Castle, the main conference aboard Finnlines’ Finncanopus, and the official afterparty at Naantali Kaivohuone.
The organizers expect more than 400 participants, including international entrepreneurs, developers, and investors. The diverse program will feature networking, competition, and education opportunities, with highlights including:
The global Web3 industry is gaining new momentum. Institutional interest is rising, technology is advancing rapidly, and the EU’s MiCA regulation is providing long-awaited clarity and confidence for businesses. Finland’s organizers want to seize the moment.
“There is a huge amount of expertise in Finland, but it is fragmented. Our goal is to bring the entire community together and build an annual meeting place that also attracts international investors to Finland,” says Jani Anttonen, one of the event’s initiators.
