FirstBlock is launching its first blockathon in Stockholm, as part of Nordic Tech Week 2026. The competition gathers founders and developers on the theme "Impact On Chain" – solutions with real-world impact built on blockchain. More details to come.

A major tech conference in Stockholm will, in 2026, become the stage for what's described as a shift in the industry – from showcasing what technology can do, to proving what it should do.
FirstBlock, the organizer behind the competition, points to a shift in how the conversation around AI, blockchain and startups has evolved. Less focus falls on raw technical capability, and more on how systems become more transparent and automation more accountable.
The competition, called FirstBlock-athon, targets founders, industry leaders, developers, researchers, students and other builders. The theme is "Impact On Chain," and the goal is solutions with real-world impact – not just technical demonstrations.
The event is part of Nordic Tech Week 2026 in Stockholm. FirstBlock says further details on the challenge, ecosystem partners, sponsors, jury, mentors and prizes will be revealed gradually in the coming months.
