The model, in which Arctic refers customers and TÝR handles trading, liquidity and infrastructure, will make it easier for Norwegian investors to step into a fast-growing market for digital assets.

“An increasing number of our clients want exposure to new investment products,” says Peder Friis (pictured), Head of Equity Sales & Trading at Arctic Securities.

“TÝR Markets is the first broker in Norway to enter the digital currency market — we are somewhat proud of that,” says Filip Berg-Nielsen, CEO of TÝR Markets and Volven AS to Kaupr.

Arctic Clients Want Exposure to Crypto

The strategic collaboration between Arctic Securities and TÝR Markets gives Arctic customers access to trading in bitcoin and selected digital assets, without the need for Arctic to build its own crypto infrastructure. Customers wishing to trade crypto assets will be referred directly to TÝR Markets, while Arctic receives a referral fee to facilitate access.

“Through this collaboration, we cater to our clients' interests and give them access to a fast-growing market,” said Peder Friis of Arctic Securities. For Arctic, the collaboration is a way to expand its product offering within an efficient and well-known operational and regulatory structure.

TradFi and savings app

The Arctic agreement with TÝR Markets comes shortly after Norwegian investment and savings app StackXMe announced a similar partnership with TÝR to offer direct crypto trading in its own platform. StackXMe uses TÝR as a technical and liquidity bridge to international crypto markets, with zero spreads on orders up to NOK 100,000 and a clearance rate of 0.35 percent, marking a clear shift where Norwegian retail players can access professional trading conditions without building their own infrastructure.

TradFi and management

Another sign that traditional finance is approaching digital assets is the collaboration between Pensum Asset Management and K33 to develop safe and professional solutions for exposure to bitcoin and digital assets for Norwegian investors. Starting with research, insights and training, the partnership aims to build a regulatory and institutional framework for wealthy individuals, family offices and institutional clients seeking a more structured approach to this asset class.

Trading conditions through TÝR Markets

Through the referral agreement, Arctic customers gain access to trading in bitcoin and selected digital assets via TÝR Markets. TÝR Markets offers mid-price execution with zero spreads on orders up to NOK 100,000, and competitive spreads on larger trades, with a standard commission of 0.35 per cent.

Simple, transparent and cost-effective trading

“Our goal is to make crypto trading simple, transparent, and cost-effective. By cooperating with Arctic, we gain access to a strong customer base and we look forward to helping meet the growing demand for digital assets in Norway,” Filip Berg-Nielsen, CEO of TÝR Markets and Volven AS, said in a press release.
